Welcome to PGICA's Web Site
The 3,800 current members of the PGICA are always eager to welcome new members. Our mission of enhancing the quality of life in Punta Gorda Isles as a leading waterfront community leads us to create and participate in a wide range of enjoyable pursuits. From boating clubs to educational courses PGICA offers you a vibrant community experience. The Association connects its members to the city and county governments, too. We invite you to investigate this web site where you’ll learn details of the many activities, events, groups, clubs and educational programs offered by the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. We are confident you’ll fall in love with Punta Gorda Isles and want to join your Association.
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

The heart & soul of PGICA Volunteerism
One Hundred Five Volunteers filled the main hall of the Association building on Friday April 4th and enjoyed a fine luncheon catered by ‘Call Don’s Catering’. Hosted by the members of The PGICA Board of Directors, this annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon has become a high point of the Spring activities here in the Association.

A WORD FROM OUR MEMBERS
Thanks to the Girls and Guys
What a wonderful group the Girls and Guys are! They arrive on time—bring all their tables and equipment. Within about 2 hours have everything displayed and priced! WOW!
After the sale they package everything that hasn’t sold and leave the house neat and clean. They are not only efficient but fun.
What can I say but Thanks a Million!

Children's books needed
Isles volunteers for Boaters for Books need your new and used books for children of all ages.
Books are sorted, packed and shipped to schools and libraries in the Caribbean. Boaters for Books is a Federal and Florida non-profit literacy organization that has shipped thousands of books to needy children over the past eight years. There is a book drop box conveniently located in the foyer of the PG Isles Civic Center or call 276-5602 and a volunteer will pick up your donation. Used books can be purchased at many locations, including the Charlotte County School Surplus Store at the intersection of Bal Harbor and Aqui Esta (behind Wachovia Bank) where books can be purchased for .50 - $1.00.
