Club of the Month - Tennis Club

As a member of the PGICA you have no doubt seen our Tennis Courts on the Shreve Street side of the building.  They are state of art “Composition Courts”… that is asphalt with approximately 3/8 overlay of reclaimed rubber, which is a lot easier on the joints and muscles for our members.

Our dues are $75 per family per calendar year, plus a onetime $100 initiation fee.  The Tennis Club is totally self-sufficient; the courts are resurfaced and maintained with Tennis Club monies, which is the reason for the initiation fee.

All levels of players are welcome to our round robin scheduled play, held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.  Women play from 8-10 a.m. and men from 10 to noon. Click here for a printable copy of our play schedule.

For those of you that like to play competitively, we also have teams in the A-3, B-3, and B-4 divisions of the Men’s Senior Peace River League and the Ladies also have a very respectable 3-0 team in the Southwest Florida Ladies Tennis league.

The Tennis Club has an excellent ball machine which is available to all of our members. We also have access to  lady tennis pro, Ileane Arenstein, who is available for instruction, by appointment.

New members are always welcomed!
