The last meeting for the "Celebrate Life" ladies cancer support group will be on May 7th at 10 am. During the months of June , July and August we do not meet, but get together for lunch! May's meeting will be a sharing of ideas, plans for speakers in the Fall and just having a great gab fest!!
Our speaker for April was Dr. Swing of Peace River Regional Medical Center, well known for his medical acupuncture treatments. We were amazed at the results of treatments he gave several members during our meeting and plan on having him back in the Fall.
Figures are in and not only did we have one of the biggest turnouts for the Relay for Life at Port Charlotte High School, over 20 people, but we also raised our largest donation of $350 for the fight against Cancer!!
