Would your group, or the social committee of your club, sponsor a PGICA fundraiser at the Civic Association building or our pavilion? Suggestions include holding a sock hop, hosting a barbeque, bringing in entertainment or perhaps having do it yourself entertainment with your members as performers. Please include some activity or event participation to benefit PGICA as an item on your next monthly meeting agenda.
If your club or group is willing to help civic association raise money for a standby electric generator, to improve the landscaping or upgrade the building, please contact Ken Ellingson 916.1505 or Beth Magnin at the Civic Association 637.1655 to schedule your activity.
A deferred gift from your estate is another way to help your community through the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. The following are examples of language for your bequest:
- Unrestricted Gift: “I give (the sum, percentage, or description of property) to the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association, Punta Gorda, Florida, to be used for its general tax exempt purposes but without other restrictions as to use.”
- Restricted Gift: “I give (the sum, percentage, or description of property) to the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association, Punta Gorda, Florida, to be used for the benefit of (name specific program or fund).” For example you might elect to restrict your bequest to capital improvement or the grounds or its structures.
