Tactics for Implementation of 2008 Strategic Objectives

STRENGTHEN MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES TO INCREASE RESIDENT PARTICIPATION IN THE PGICA.
Tactics:

Enhance Activities (Groups, Clubs, Special Events) to encourage participation:

  1. Chair a Council of the presidents, commodores, or chairs (or their designees) of the sanctioned groups within the Association and the managers of the identified volunteer groups (front desk receptionists, The Gifted Gator Boutique) to disseminate information of Board actions, to share the concerns of the groups, to promote cooperation and volunteer time for specific events/tasks requested by the Board or by the groups.  The Council will meet at least quarterly.  Additional meetings will be added as determined necessary by the Director of Group Activities or requested by the President of the Association.
  2. Establish additional groups/clubs as requested by members or by the Board. 
  3. Assist volunteer managers in establishing position descriptions for volunteers and in recruitment of qualified volunteer members.
  4. Continue the Annual Volunteers Recognition Event.
  5. Enhance the recognition of volunteer time/talent donated by members or sanctioned groups.
  6. Establish a Special Events Committee.  This volunteer group will be charged with management of all Association events directed by the Board.  A qualified Chair will be recruited to form and chair the committee.

VIII. Strategic Objective: Organizational Structure and Financial Integrity

Champions: Frank Mazur, Brenda Lynch, Jim/Patti Doolittle, Don McCormick, Mike Fauci

ENHANCE THE ASSOCIATION’S GOVERNANCE, FINANCIAL, AND OPERATIONAL STRUCTURES TO SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN.
Tactics:

Beautification

Establish a Landscape and Garden Committee/Group. A qualified chair will be recruited to chair this committee. The primary charge of this committee/group will be Beautification of the Association grounds and green spaces in PGI.  The committee/group may conduct related activities of interest to gardeners for its members or for PGICA members. 
Renew the Cul de Sac program.
